Since 2007, Pink Door Nonprofit Organization’s (Pink Door’s) concept and mission has evolved through the support and feedback of many women cancer patients and survivors, supporters, and volunteers. With over 5,000 subscribers to Pink Door’s newsletter and growing, it is no wonder that the vision of Pink Door and scope of what we have accomplished has been broadcasted to those who have supported and are in need of Pink Door’s programs. Pink Door’s mission is: “To help all women cancer survivors begin a new life, a new career after cancer!” In implementing Pink Door’s mission over the last four years, Pink Door continues to build a solid foundation through focusing on the goal of becoming one of the most influential and supportive nonprofits to those that need Pink Door in the City of Houston and Houston-Metropolitan areas.
Through the hard work and dedication of Pink Door’s Executive Board and Board of Directors, Pink Door has succeeded by investing all individual and corporate donations, generous gifts, fundraisers and all proceeds directly into Pink Door’s programs and operation costs. In other words, Pink Door is a purely 100% volunteer nonprofit organization with no overhead in administration fees or costs. When you are donating to Pink Door’s cause, you are donating to an organization whose ground roots and organic upbringing has many women cancer survivors paving a path to a new life after cancer.
With the help and support Pink Door provides through Pink Door’s programs to women cancer patients and survivors, you are truly changing a woman’s life for a lifetime. Pink Door’s “Women In Pink” Scholarship Fund, Pink Door’s “My Pink Wish” Assistance Program, and Pink Door’s Online Women Cancer Patient and Survivor Resource Center provide women cancer patients and survivors with the tools necessary to start their new life, a new career after cancer. Whether a woman cancer survivor would like to finish her baccalaureate or master’s degree at any accredited college or university across the country, she now has that opportunity through Pink Door’s “Women In Pink” Scholarship Fund. Should a woman cancer patient or survivor need help paying for her mortgage or utility expenses for a period of time as her medical expenses have become overwhelming, she can receive assistance through Pink Door’s “My Pink Wish” Assistance Program. If there comes a point where a woman cancer patient or survivor is not sure where to receive free counseling after treatment or needs additional help around the house while going through treatment, Pink Door’s Online Women Cancer Patient and Survivor Resource Center provides information on these and many other services available to cancer patients and survivors. Pink Door offers these programs to help pave the path for women cancer patients and survivors both during and after cancer.
