The Women In Pink Scholarship Fund provides a way for single, divorced, or widowed women cancer survivors to further their education at any accredited college or university within the U.S.! One scholarship of $5,000.00 total will be awarded to one applicant each year. The application process for 2009 will begin March 1, 2008 (application will be available starting March 1, 2008) with an application deadline of November 15, 2008. The Women In Pink Scholarship will be awarded to one applicant on January 1, 2009 for the Fall 2009 school year. The rules and guidelines are as follow:

1. All scholarships to be granted or awarded by Pink Door Nonprofit Organization ("Pink Door") shall be awarded in accordance with the scholarship award policies set forth in this policy statement.

2. To be eligible for the Pink Door “Women In Pink” Scholarship Award, the recipient must be a single, divorced, or widowed woman cancer survivor that will be enrolled at an accredited college/university (within the United States) for the Fall of 2009. The Pink Door “Women In Pink” Scholarship Award is one scholarship awarded to one recipient for a total of $5,000.00. The Pink Door “Women In Pink” Scholarship Award cannot be renewed by any awarded recipient. The number of Pink Door “Women In Pink” Scholarships awarded is dependent on revenue of donations annually. Currently, Pink Door has one scholarship awarded to one recipient for a total of $5,000.00.

3. No member of Pink Door’s Board of Directors or executive team (during his or her tenure), any relatives of Pink Door’s Board of Directors or executive team; thus including all officers, directors, or substantial contributors of Pink Door will be a permitted recipient of the Pink Door “Women In Pink” Scholarship Award.

4. All scholarship funds awarded shall be paid in full directly to the accredited college/university to which the recipient is attending.

5. No contribution shall be accepted by Pink Door where the contribution is designated for a particular scholarship recipient.

6. Pink Door’s Board of Directors serves as the selection committee for whom the Pink Door “Women In Pink” Scholarship Award will be grant (awarded) to. There are a total of seven seats on Pink Door’s Board of Directors in which to serve. Should a director step down from their seat, a new candidate may be elected for replacement of a director by a unanimous vote of Pink Door’s Board of Directors. The Board of Directors for the 2007-2008 year consist of the following: Cortney A. Cole; Elissa Brewster, JD; Erin Dutko, JD; Claire (Henkhaus) Cordell, CPA, MBA; SenLy F. Fox; Lee Mitchell, and Gretel Perera.

7. Attached to this policy is the approved scholarship application form for the Pink Door “Women In Pink” Scholarship Award.

All applications are to be postmarked by the deadline date: November 15, 2008
